Default Helmet & Steering wheel Hooks

OK so I have a C-4 with a 6 point cage. It seems to me like it would really simplify things if I had a helmet hook to hang the helmet on before I get out of the car - OTOH - I really don't want a meathook grabbing at me if I relly mess up.

So I have a petty bar running essentially across the passenger side of the compartment - seems to be a good place for a helmet hook.

what are they made of - how are they attached? or is this one of those use your inginuity and whatever stuff you have hanging around the shop deals?

And what about a hook for a removable steering wheel?

Joe's Racing has some nice pieces here

Longacre, Coleman etc. also have similar syle ones. Just keep them far away from you like you described. They still catch me when I'm working in the passenger side.

A Velcro strap would be light and not hurt you.

Get you a manaquin to ride shotgun, He can hold your wheel and wear your helmet.

If you use one of these, just mount it so that the hook faces away from you.

Steal the "S" hook off of the end of a rubber bungee cord and Zip tie it to the roll cage. If the ziptie is tight enough, then you can swivel the hook out of the way and keep from hanging yourself .

Now thats what I'm looking for! I'll fab up a hook out of stock I have laying around - and zipstrip it to the petty bar - good solution!
