Hoosier doesn't make the S05 anymore because the outside edges corded after about 40 runs.

They now make the A6 which is a much better tire and will last well over 80 runs if you have enough negative camber in the front. Some are flipping at 60 runs and getting nearly 120 runs out of them.

The 710s wear better but lose their stickiness after about 50-60 runs. FWIW

RA1's last forever. FOREVER. But, they aren't as grippy as an A6 or V710. If you want to be competitive, you need the hoosiers or Kuhmos.

They will last about 1/2 as long as those other 2 tires. You can get 30-40 good sticky runs, then they fall off. Keep on top of alignment and air pressure, as they do tend to cord on the outside shoulder if air pressure or camber is too low.

What pressures are appropriate/typical for lowspeed autox I have a set of Hoosier SO5 and Kumho V710s. The sticky tires are somewhat new to me. Previously used the BFG KDs. I picked up a pyrometer and want to start adjusting tires pressures by checking temps across the face of the tire.
What are typical pre-run and post-run pressures and temps? I have a stock C5 with frt. set at 1.5deg and rear at 1.0deg.
Any tips for a novice?

I ran my S05s at 36 Front and 32 Rear. 710s would be lower, start with 32/28 and adjust from there based on rollover, not temps, IMHO.
