Default Brake Pad choices for C6Z06?

I am new to the car and while I am researching BBkits for the car, I will be using the stock brakes in the meantime.

What are my choices for pads/compounds?

Does Wilwood make pads for this car? I know Carbotech does? Who else?

Who makes the thickest pads, as I heard that is a problem.

Pads can only be as thick as stock or a tad thicker try a search in the 06z forum they have been discussing it there. When is the inaugural voyage?

I can't answer your question, but if you go with Stoptechs, you'll love them. Give me a shout if you need a quote!

I run the Carbotech XP10 fronts and XP8 on the rears and they work good.

Racing Brake makes a thicker pad. I just bought a set to evaluate at my favorite brake pad erasing track: Road America.

Last year Carbotech was the only game in town and their pads were thinner than stock and wore like crazy. I actually went through 2 front XP12 sets in a week end @ RA last fall. I'm not a big fan of Carbotech's thin expensive pad.

Hawk and another company makes pads also. The RB pads are significantly less expensive than the thin Carbotech pads also.

I will post my evaluation of the RB pads after the mid April event.

I've been happy with Porterfield R-4s. LG posted in the Z06 thread that he liked cobalt friction pads.

Where can I look at the Porterfields Cobalts? So far, I like the pricing on the RA pads.
