Default Ready for my first SCCA T1 Race

After 34 1/2 years I am finally registered for my first SCCA Regional race. Trying the double regional at ORP on May 5th and 6th. This has been a dream all my life to do this and it has taken this long. (TOO LONG)

Thought I would share a few pics with all of you! If anyone is out that way going to watch or race, please stop by and say hi and give me any advice you may have.

P.S. David P.
If you are reading this, now you know what my car looks like just in case I sneak up on you someday.

Nice decals............Good Luck , ORP (IRP) is a riot.......I'll be running my first roadrace soon myself, and it even took me slightly longer than it took you.

I am going to try my hand in NASA first.....I may join you in T1 later.

Thanks for the RAFT sticker Danny! I will try and make you proud.
Good luck at NASA and would love to see you in T1 wooping all our butts.

Aaron,

That car sure looks familiar...I bet it had #13 on it at one time, right?

You know, I really love the looks of C5s, and the C6s are starting to grow on me. Maybe a C6 (with the LS3) is in my future...

Are you going to run the Memorial Day event at Nelson Ledges? Or how 'bout the July double regional there. I understand that that event will have a big turnout, being a MARS race and all, plus the rumor is that TCC is showing up. If so, I am trying to disguise my car as a Corvette...

Good Luck, Aaron! The car looks great.

Hell, 34-1/2 years? That ain't nothing! I'm a grandfather with 3 grandkids and I just started!

You've got a lifetime ahead of you!

Go get'em!

David,
Yep, It had a 13 on it when I picked it up from Roush.

Come on back to the Corvettes buddy, they are awsome! Then again that Viper is REALLY NICE too.

I have to do a Ride and Drive program for Kumho the weekend of Memorial. I will be back late Sunday night and hoping to run Monday (Memorial Day) with Corvette Cleveland for the 1 lap Time trials. I would like to see what lap time the Z06 would do since I have not had it there yet.

I am eye balling the June 30th July 1st DBL Regional at Nelson's if that is the one you are talking about. As long as nothing is added to my work schedule, I will try.

July Event, I will be in New York doing a marketing event for work as well.

Boy that NEW RED TCC Viper (I mean Corvette) you have sure would fly around everybody.

What/Where is ORP?

IRP (Indianapolis Raceway Park) is now ORP, bought out by O'Reilly Auto Parts!

Congrats, I just started racing SCCA T1. My first race was at California Speedway in January. I have five races under my belt now and I just sent in my paperwork for my national license. I don't expect any complications with that approval process. If I am right, I will be running my first double national at Buttonwillow raceway in three weeks!

Aaron
Good luck from all of us in NFCA.
Sorry you won't be making it to the Double National at Roebling but you do need to keep telling the story of those Kumos. I love mine.
