Well they are saying May. I didn't know they pushed it back, but what game these days ISNT.
Just like Halo3 - I wont be waiting to ACTUALLY pick that up in NOV07.
More like MAR08.
Did you watch the entire video of the game? It sounds like its going to be a great sim for some of us "el chepos" that dont run with the big dogs at Pocono and VIR.

The "next gen" consoles will bring us awesome games, if they ever release them. For what it's worth, the PS3 has Motorstorm and F1, both of which are really really amazing, HOWEVER nothing yet for us GT racing fans.
Grand Turismo 5 (HD) won't be out until next year I believe!

I am playing Project Gotham 3 on Xbox360 for a long time.
Very entertaining!
Here is a nice PGR3 HD trailer:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/i...x360_Video.wmv
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/p/pr...g3/default.htm
My setup: steering wheel and pedals, 106" projector HD, 5.1 sound.
Not sure that GT4 (720x480i) can touch PGR3 (1280x720p)... in graphics there is no contest.

A new xbox?? It figures, just got the 360 not long ago. A word of caution, don't get the microsoft steering wheel setup. Theirs is a sorry design for sure. A lot of loose play and does not center/calibrate. I will be in the market for another setup as soon as forza comes out.

But if you know a better one I am interested.

The new 360 coming out is still a 360, just black and larger drive capacity. Certainly not a requirement to upgrade.
I keep hoping Logitech is going to make this wheel for the 360:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...ONTENTID=11867
For PGR3 the stock controller is better due to the large amount of lock to lock steering required. For Forza 2 a wheel should prove to be an advantage since it is much more of a simulator depending how many of the aids you disable.

I know its stilll a 360 but some like the idea that it will have an HDMI cable i.e. the only way to carry a 1080p pic. Now only if the games were done in 1080P.

I have the 360 (actually two since my first one died and I went out and bought another one) but I only play gears of war. So what is the name of the driving game coming out and when? I played GT4 on ps2 and that was great.

Missing Link
Not too many years ago, between qualifying sessions at Laguna Seca, I was asked for my input by a young group of programmers who claimed to be working on the next generation of racing games. They wanted to know what I, as a racing driver at the time, thought was missing from the (then) current crop of video racing games. My response was simple, and still applies. Without penalties in the form of monetary losses, severe pain and/or the threat of death for mistakes and mishaps, no game is ever going to remotely approach realistic simulation of what it's like to race around a real (not virtual) race track against others.
It's the chaos of balancing on the edge between glorious speed and traumatic injury (or worse) that has always been at the core of the experience. And, as far as I'm aware, there's yet to be any feedback steering wheel you can plug to a computer which can land you into a halo for three months.
On the plus side, some of the better games do render a nicely presented preview of a track you've never seen before.
Sorry if I've burst anyone's balloon, but I thought the idea here was driving real Corvettes.

what kind of fun is a game where you lay in traction for 3 months. Not one I'd want to play.
For those of us that don't "race" - street or strip its a great way to enjoy the physics of racing without the cost or danger.
PS - I bet those kids looked at you like you were a bit crazy.

No guts, no glory. And they were actually quite stunned to be informed that real racing can hurt. All said they'd never thought of it. I'm betting they drove slower on the way home...
