Default Thunder Racing Oil Cooler - Any Input?

Anybody running one of these or have experience to share?

http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...ories&pcid=308

Price seems right. Wondering what it would drop 300 degree track temps down to.

I think most people will not like the kit due to the sandwich mount for the filter. They will point out that it will probably lower the filter lower than anything else on the car...

1. I take it with the Canton cooler you have to relocate the oil filter?

2. What is a "sandwich mount" for the filter?

no, it means that you unscrew your oil filter (which is currently flush with the bottom of your oil pan) screw in this aluminum plate adapter (like the meat in a sandwich)that has oil line connections, and then screw your filter back on. now your filter will hang down the thickness of the adapter plate.

Rather you should get an oil cooler manifold, from MSI, Rippie, LPE, TPIS which attaches to the side of your oil pan (out of harms way). From there you run your -10 lines to and from the cooler. We used to sell Canton, but like the Setrab and XRP lines and coolers better.
