Default O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis - 15 turn roadcourse?

I ran across a group that holds events at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis (formerly Indianapolis Raceway) and I am not familiar with either the group (Pro Sports Drivers Group) or the track. The track's website doesn't even mention the roadcourse or show a track map. The only map I could find was using google maps aerial view.

http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=39.81...9055&t=k&hl=en

Not much information on the driving group either. They seem much higher priced than others. I was wondering what one gets for the extra $$

Anyone have experience with either of these that they wish to share?

Thanks

This was the layout we used for motorcycles. (Should be the same layout)
Very fun, very fast and challenging. Bumpy through 1 and the parking lot transition, and unfreakinbelievably (yes, one word) slippery coming onto the front straight in the rain!! (burn out and launch area)

Their site says you get a true 7 hours per day with their events. Single vs two day events. If this is accurate seems like the better deal.

It's been 20 years for me. Down in the rain. I think I slid on my a$$ for about 200 yards. :o

This is what I looked like sliding the 1/4 in my leathers- The 1/4 mile club on your back has an aweful lot of members at IRP.

I only remember that there were paint stripes on the pavement on that last turn and while the bike was leaned over in the rain, there would be a little bit of slide as you crossed those extra slippery stripes. I was thinking, gee it's slippery here. It was not a good time for me since it was my first time out in the rain.

I have vivid memories of IRP, really liked the course. I believe it was repaved last year so it should be much smoother. If it rains, I recommend leaving the car in the paddock and heading over to the last turn to witness the carnage.

How is the run-off around the track?

Pretty safe track?

I've seen it quite a few times. It's not a great course IMHO.

Prosport is a good group of guys and the open track days are nice, but no instruction.

IRP (ORP now) has repaved turn #1, so it's now safe (fast-90+mph), but 2-5 are very rough and SHOULD be repaved. Turn #15 is a nightmare coming into the dragstrip with all sorts of odd traction conditions and VHT?? or not over 2 lanes of drag takeoff with concrete walls immediately on both sides. AND it's the most important corner on the course coming onto the straight. The runoff varies quite a bit and you could hit just about anything there. It's a drag racing facility with a roadcourse.

The sad part is it's a really fun course layout. It's just too rough at points (i used a large pothole as my apex for turn 4 last time) and turn 15 needs something serious changed, though I can't see how they could fix it.
