Default Video wind noise

Just reviewing my latest video from PIR this Friday. Played it on my new Plasma TV and noticed that the wind noise coming into the cabin was pretty loud. I have a Sony HC 46 with the mic in the front of the body with cheese grater holes in it for the stereo mikes. What do you use to make the wind noise go away. I thought of a band aid but think that would block all the exhaust noise and the track steward questioing me for a late pass {:o)

thanks

If the camera has an external mic jack, run a mic extension cord out the back of the car and tape a mic just over the licence plate. Cover the mic with foam. Buy the mic and cord at Radio Shack. You will pick up sonorous engines sounds and little wind buffeting.

Find some foam to put over the built-in mic?

I just put blue painters tape over the mic. Worked like a charm to get rid of the wind noice, yet keep the other sound.
