C5-R catches fire at Monza
A C5-R in Monza, Italy for the 1,000 km of Monza this weekend.

From the sequence of events, it looks as though the car was out of
position to the left of the pit area and that there was a spill from the
filler nozzle/dry break point. There is a hose laying on the left side of
the cockpit. What is the fitting on the ground between the car and
the garage?
Prior to this photo, the firecrewman had directed his extinguisher at the
crew member in the foreground who had run from the garage toward
the cameraman. Someone I take to be the fuelman is now directing
the fireman's attention back to the blaze. Notice that the middle person
has no gloves.
In an earlier shot, a helmeted (alt driver?) can be seen pulling the current
driver from the car.
Unlike methanol, when gasoline is burning there is no doubt where it is
or how much is involved.
Hope that the injured are doing as well as possible.
