Default ALMS Audi Brake Pics

I was wondering why i couldn't see the Audi carbon brakes glowing like the other cars.
They run a shield on the OUTSIDE of the brake. It is supported by brackets via the inside shield. I can only image this is to control the air going through the rotor itself.
Sorry they wouldn't take the wheel off for me to see better.

Nobody else is running anything like this. All else are a more traditional setup.



Here you can see the gap between the shield and the caliper.

I think Peugeot has that with the 908.
