In Car Video-LG Motorsports, Long Beach GP
Hi Guys,
This is the full race (minus the last lap because it stopped recording)
It is large, somewhere near 200 mb so down load accordingly.
Enjoy.

You will see at the start, I had a very bad launch (reaction time) and went from 4th to 7th. Then on the restart, I got a good run on the Porsche 997 of Pobst but he came around me and made contact with me in between turn one and two. That let Archer also get by, hitting me in the process.
Then the remainder of the race is recovering from the start and passing all the same guys to get back to 3rd place. Fellows had a bad alternator which caused him to die on the last yellow but other than that, it was a hard fought race with plenty of action.
thanks guys
Lou Gigliotti

Great race to watch on Speed as well, and if you watch some of the LG
passes in the background they are classic, love the video as well. Great
result and hope you can put some pressure on the factory guys going
forward. Sure do miss ALMS weekend at Sears Point!

Listening to that scream is something you don't want to miss, fantastic!
Looks like the car came to you as the race went on, Lou. Places where
you were losing ground early on you started to close on them later,
fun to watch for a junkie that can't get enough.

We should have them by Watkins Glen in June.
See you at the races.

Love that 5 to 4 to 3 to 2 DS coming off the long str8/sweeper into the left hander. Soooo smooth! Looks like you were held up for quite a few laps by Archer/ Pobst, maybe on an open road course Curran wouldn't have gotten so far ahead. Also loved the way you got progressively more aggressive carrying more speed into the turns as your tires/brakes warmed up, very professional.

Great video !! That course would scare the dickens out of me - no run off at any point on the track ! Any mistake and you are into a very unforgiving wall. Great drive Lou !!

Thanks guys,
I really like street courses. The only thing is that since they are only in place for a few days a year, there can be no testing or practice. So everyone is seeing the track only once a year.
That makes for great racing and hard passes.
The Porsche and Viper were both very fast. In fact the Viper was so fast I am afraid that when we do get to an open course it will dominate.
Our car was almost exactly even with the Porsche 997s but they have been known to turn up the ECU another notch when the rules settle down and they "milk" the sanctioning body for a few concessions.
Qualifying on Long Beach was very important because of how hard it is to pass. So when I got my bad start, I paid for it for 20 laps before I got back up to my original position. And had the Caddy of Fellows not had a bad alternator, he would have won the race.
We have a great car and it seems that the rules are now very very close. When you have 8 or 9 cars running nose to tail it is then up to the driver to make the difference.
Great series and great racing.
Next race, UTAH at Miller Motorsports Park in 2 weeks on Sat 19th of May then directly to Charlotte for a one day show on Thrusday the 24th. on the oval with two chicanes. Very fast and more of a premium on qualifying.
See you at the races.
