Default Catch can legality in SCCA Super Stock

I've been racing in the SS class of SCCA Auto-X this year. I have a catch can I bought for use with a future head cam swap. Considering this item isn't a performance upgrade, I was wondering what the opinions of legality would be if used on a SS car? My first assumption is that it is NOT legal, but maybe I'm thinking wrong. what do you think?

My take on it: it's not a performance enhancing device, so unless you're winning your class or running a national tour, nobody should care.

PS, have you looked at the 2007 rules? They have changed a bit.

You can view the SCCA rules online.

13.10.G. The installation of water expansion tanks is allowed. The installation
of oil catch tanks is allowed provided the PCV system is
not altered.

well, I am winning my class...so far two first place finishes and one second this year. My intention is to win the South Carolina Region SS championship this year. I just want to make sure that the catch can doesn't screw that up.

Yeah, I have read the rules about a month ago, but I overlooked that part. Sounds like to me my catch can will be legal as long as it is essentially spliced into the PCV line with no change in breathing or altering the location of where it hooks to the engine. I thank you for finding that for me.
