Default New Caravaggio Races Seats Installed and NO codes

I just finished installing the new Caravaggio race seats it took about 2.5 hours for the drivers side and 2 hours for the passenger side. The instructions were pretty good but you have to figure out a few things for your self. Not bad I only took both seats out twice before I got it right, call me if you decide to install these, I can save you a lot of time. All of my belts fit the same as the std. seats. You get forward and back and tilt on the drivers side (Z06) and he gives you the instructions and the jumper for the side air bags. They fit great, I am 195LBS, 5'10" tall and a 38 waist alittle snug but not bad. The other stuff is Sharkbar and 6 Pt. G-force belts. As for as weight the stock seat that you take out weighs a bout 26LBS and the Caravaggio is16 so you save about 10 per side. My scale may be off pound of so. JD

Jim,
I didn't think your car could look better, but the seats add to the appearance and upgrade the harness system. Mine haven't arrived yet, but will contact you when they do.

Yep $1295.00 plus shipping, but worth everypenny to not have to worry about all the electric stuff. And they do look great if I do say so my self. The workmanship is really beautiful. These are the ones that John recomends for street and track because they have lower sides than the GT seats so they are easier to get in and out of. JD

Well, since they're so awesome, can I have a donation so I can test them out also?

shorten the loop on the harnesses. Where is wrapps around the harness bar, that loop should be as small as possible.

Less belt to stretch should you ever impact....

They are fine for street use. I just put them in my 02 Z06. Can't wait to get them on the track in a week.

Can anyone recommend a good harness and harness bar for these seats in an 02? I also want to be able to use the stock belts when not at the track.

Thanks,

cj

They are very comfortable, I just took a 2 hour ride to West Palm and back and they were fine. They seem to have great back support. JD

CJ,

I'm using the B-K bar and lap belt kit in my car. Purchased the bar from another forum member and bought the lap belt kit from ogracing.com. Also bought my G-Force belts from them.

Pretty easy to install, and they work great side-by-side with the stock belts.

Thanks. I was looking at the BK... will probably go with that bar. OG is right near my house, so I will swing by there for the harnesses and lap belt.
