Marking cam bolt for track alignment - Will this work?
If I want to run a track alignment for my track tires and a street alignment for my street tires, could I mark the cam bolt location for each camber spec then just change it back and forth? I realize it may change the toe/caster settings, but it may be slight and better than wearing out one of the sets of tires prematurely. Has anyone tried this?

It willwork, but you MUST adjust the toe as well. You can either learn how to do it via my DIY guide, or you can attempt to make notes of the turns to correct them as well.
Running with your front tires excessively toed out, and the rears excessively toed in, will do more damage than the extra camber would.
my DIY guide can help, and is available at http://www.davidfarmerstuff.com/

I tried this on my 97 for a while. However, after I had some work done on the car the dealer tech that did the alignment that I should forget the idea as the cams/bolts move around some when loosened and even though you line up the paint marks your camber isn't the same as when you first set it. He recommended I buy a couple of cheap gages and reset the alignment myself each time I wanted to change it.

Just learn how to zero out your toe for street use and you'll minimize adverse tire wear. Camber does not add that much tire wear, but track levels of toe out/toe in will.
Adjusting toe at the tie rods is much more repeatable than camber with the eccentrics.
