Default Was I supposed to use some sort of sealant on new OEM bleed screws?

I just finished up installing new oem calipers and fresh bleed screws... I just screwed them in as they came.

Now I remember that the speed bleeders I used to have has sealant on them.

I've changed bunches of them and have never put sealant on them.

The speedbleeders have the special sealant for when you bleed them. You turn them open then the sealant is to not let air in while the fluid goes out. If you use them a lot your suppose to put more sealant on. Just FYI why the speedbleeder has it and stock does not. Most times if you get a stock part, it will have sealant on it if it is needed.

It is a compression joint....ie the taper is the seal, NOT the threads. OEM style bleeders, like AN fittings, don't require the threads to seal.
