That has already made the rounds..................

It's a known fact that people who own Corvettes can't drive !

Actually, the gentlemen is an excellent driver and has years of autocross experience. But sometimes, when you get into a car that you are not really familiar with, bad things can happen.

Ouch!

"Hello, Allstate? I have to report a claim."

I can't believe the paddock area was close enough to the course to even allow this to happen... I've never auto-x'd, is this common?

And this is yet another reason why I would never never never drive anyone else's car. Don't need the responsibility...

Yes, he is a good driver. I remember him from when I used to do SCCA autoxes in Portland. As I recall, his C4 is an automatic. Maybe he tried to left foot brake and missed the pedal. However it happened, I feel real bad for him and the car owners involved.

Question ?

What are the rules concerning this.

What type of time penality, do you get by smashing a car in grid, and having it "pinball" into 2 other spectator cars ?

I was thinking like a 8 second penality. BUT since no people were hit or hurt doesn't that cancel out the penality from the four car, "car crunch".

Bottom line------did the guy take home a trophy that day for most spectacular fun run of the season ?
