Default VIR 01Jul07 Kart time interest before the NCM event...

I called the kart track at VIR, 434.822.7700 x350. Regular prices are $50/hr, $30/half hour. A total of 12 karts are available to be on the track at one time. If 12 people sign up as a group the cost comes down to $500/hr. The second hour is $500/hr and the third hour is $250/hr.

Helmets and neck braces are supplied free of charge. Long sleeves and closed toe shoes are required.

I'm leaning towards 4-5PM timeframe.

Who's interested in doing at least one hour on Sunday???

This sounds like fun. Can you get us any more information about the carts. Are they the 4 stroke Hondas or the 130 MPH shifters?

Hey Mark,

Will they let us drop our trailers at the same time? I am trailering in and it would be a whole heck of a lot easier to drop at the same time. If so, tenatively put me in for 2 spots. Can we use our own helmets? I see they require closed face which is what I have.

Also, would anyone be interested in playing 9 or 18 holes on Sunday morning? I am looking into golf courses around Danville and there seems to be plenty.

Bob

Bob,

SVT is on track along with VIR members on Sunday. It's a 50-50 chance getting in the gate early. Lodge people usually always get in early. I just got the last room so it would seem that I will be able to get in early.... You wanna ride in with me? I was told that I cannot get my key any earlier that 1600 Sunday. Let me know.

I can park in the fenced area outside the main gate until they let us in. I have a ride in (I think). Carting then a nice dinner at the Oak Tree would be great. As long as I don't leave my debit card at the bar again

I'm coming down from Maryland. What time would I need to show up to make this? I would like to add it on to the event.

You can call the Kart guys to reserve a spot in your name. I reserved a spot for Mark and myself for 4pm for 60 minutes. The Karts are open till 7pm, so we can start later if necessary. This is Marks territory, so he know what best regarding track access etc.

I did a quick count and I think we have a total of 12 if those that said they're interested do in fact show up.

Call the number and reserve you seat if you want to participate.

Bench racing at VIR Tavern afterwards.

Let the smack talkin' begin......
