I may drive up and hit the Cleveland race.

Too many races at the same time for my DVR on sunday. I guess I will need to bring out the VCR to tape record them all. Although I usually do not watch the NASCAR races, I love the sears point (infineon) and watglens glen races.

I wish Sears Point would figure out better logistics for getting people in and out. I'd actually like to go see it but I refuse to sit in traffic (either in my own vehicle, or in a bus) for hours on end to get in or out of the place.

Do you have a two channel DVR? I'm able to squeeze everything in this weekend with a two channel DVR.

It looks like JPM is going to have an easier time this weekend now that Gordon is starting from the back.

Ron Fellows is driving the #96 car at Infineon. I might actually have to watch this one. I gave up on Nascar a couple of years ago.

Thanks once again for the information.

The NASCAR events at Infineon and the Glen are two of the best road races of the year. There will probably be more passing in one race than we see all year in F1.

Watching the "cars of tomorrow" in qualifying yesterday was interesting. They tend to lift the wheels way more than a normal stock car. Looks like they corner like an old Ford Cortina! Looks like the drivers were really having to work to get them around the corners.

As far as getting in and out of the track I doubt if they will ever be able to make all the improvements that would be needed.

Would be great if Fellows or Said could win this one.

Joe,

Do you happen to know whether there is coverage of (or any way to
get a feed for) V8 Supercar Championship races during the series?

Or do we have to wait for SPEEDTV to rebroadcast these events
months later in the autumn, as in '05 & '06?

2007 Calendar

As always, many thanks for the listings.

They said he had handling problems yesterday. When I watched practice today, he had the fastest time. Sears Point is not an easy track to pass on, especially since the NASCAR configuration takes out one of the better passing areas. It would take a small miracle for him to win from his starting spot.

Jeff Gordon and Johnson are almost last due to fliunking tech. Should be fun to see them all move up throught the pack.

JPM also picked the last spot in Qual and seems that was bad place to
be, hence low qual time. Timing is everything.

The improvements that would get folks in and out of Infineon are public roads.
Nobody should be holding their breath. It's just a tough location for access.

What time should I get there to beat the traffic? Race starts at 3:30 I was thinking get there at 11 but if I need to I'll get there way earlier.

True, true, but the #24 has really been running very well lately but he has a real uphill battle being so far back. It should be fun to see!

With the #24 and #42 so far back, it should be a fun race.
