Default Some Pics from the DC ProSolo

Two Z16s taking off on day one. I'm on the right of the picture:

Scariest turn on the course. 65 mph over a drop off, blind into a slalom to the hard side:

The turn into the finish:

GJ Dixon drove the car to 3rd place behind Stewart and Salerno and I finished 9th. Great event that I'd highly recommend to anyone!

Here's a link to tons more pictures for those of you who have never seen a ProSolo event!

A ton of us going to Peru today for the Solo Tour event.

Any Vette guys on the forum going?

Look for the Lone Black Cobalt SS running in DS.. that's me.

You would love it. At the Pro Solo's you can even do a small burnout before rolling to the line, great to get the blood pumping.

We'll be headed to the Pro/DoubleX at Atlanta this weekend. It looks like a really cool format.

Stan, report back and let us know what that format was like!

Good luck.

Nice Pics.

I won't be making any Pros or Tours this year. I may go to Nationals, but its looking doubtful. The plan is to be more active nationally again in '08 though.

The Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo® combines the excitement of drag racing and the skill of Solo on side-by-side, mirror-image autocross courses. Lining up at the familiar “Christmas Tree” start, drivers compete heads-up in various classes by combining their fastest times from each course. After class competition is completed, all ProSolo events feature the top drivers from each class, competing head-to-head in a variety of single- elimination, handicapped Challenges.

In other words, it's a blast. They only hold about 8 of them a year throughout the US and a Finale the weekend before the Nationals in Topeka, KS.
