T1 Car for Sale – Current (and 4-time) Southeast Division T1 Nat Champ - $32,500
T1 Car for Sale – Current (and 4-time) Southeast Division T1 National Champion
$32,500 Firm!
I hate to do it, but my 2001 Corvette Z06 will be available after the runoffs this year. You won’t find too many cars out there with a better pedigree than this one:
4 Southeast Division T1 National Championships
26 National wins
8 current or former track records
Consistently the fastest, most reliable and consistent T1 car in the South.
Top 10 Runoffs car every year including a top 5 finish. (The only Corvette faster in 2004 was John Heinricy).
Full T1 kit (springs, sway bars, control arms, etc.), set up exclusively by Phoenix Performance
Will have a fresh 2004 engine, tuned exclusively by Phoenix
3 sets of Kodiak ultra-light wheels (plus 1 additional rear and 1 additional front) with Kumho tires. One set will have a new set of Kumho rain tires mounted and ready to go.
Carbon Fiber hood
Ron Davis radiator
Oil Cooler
Trans Cooler
DRM brake ducts
Cool shirt (driver cooling system)
Cobra Suzuka seat with Hardbar mounts
Current GForce belts
Momo steering wheel w/quick release
New Calipers, tie rod ends, hubs…
Fully wired for radio communications
Plenty of spares including: additional calipers, rotors, hubs, brakes, half-shafts, stock hood, radiator, etc. I also have the original air conditioning, speakers, radio, etc should you consider returning the car back to stock condition.
The car is capable of (and has run) a 1:32 at Road Atlanta, a 1:42 at CMP, 2:05 at VIR, 1:15 at Roebling, 2:19s at Sebring. It’s safe, fast and reliable. This car will meet your needs if you’re thinking about T1 or just a great HPDE car.
I’m the only owner…bought it off the showroom floor…slowly modified over the years into one of the best T1 cars in the country. In 2000, I went to Bowling Green, watched it being built (frame to finish), and was the first to start it. It’s been my baby.
The car has a current and clean log book, a complete history, set up sheets, photos, original sticker, build sheet, etc.
If you buy this car, I’ll also instruct you at an HPDE...at my expense.
$32,500 Firm. (If you want the triple adjustable Motons, that’s an additional $7K…’cause that’s what it’s gonna cost me to replace them!
www.tracktapes.com for photos, results, etc. I can send more current pics if requested. Serious offers only please.

I'm looking at getting an 08...but it is dependent on my car selling. If it doesn't, I'll just keep campaigning it and try for a 5th title next year. I'm not planning on getting out any time soon.

The new LS3 looks like quite a motor. A well prepped T1 engine should top 400 rwhp. I wonder if the SCCA will restrict it to lower the horsepower.

They may not restrict it, because it won't be that much stronger, but they may add some weight to it like they did the C6 when it first came out. Who knows. Right now, if I do this, I'm going to be more concerned with reliability than pure power. I've learned that no matter what you have or how strong it's supposed to be, if it's not there at the end, you've wasted your time and money.

I'm certainly going to try to be back down there. Those two races are the start of the season and I always look forward to getting down there. There are so many variables in this though...but I will if everything goes right.

Well, the driver is certainly a big part, but the car is well sorted, balanced, has a strong and reliable drivetrain, and is just easy to drive. Once the Phoenix guys waived their magical wand over it back in 04, it really came to life and is one of the top 3 T1 Corvettes in the country...looking at the lap times, finishing positions, etc.

....as a guy that Chris CONSISTANTLY beat for 3 years in T1, I know for a fact that this is one well sorted, reliable and VERY fast car. After all...the driver ain't no damn good ...so it must have been the car beating me all along!

Good luck Chris, on the sale.
Who ever purchases this car is getting a real gem. I forgot about you going to BG and watching the car being assembled. It takes alot of "gumption" to race a car you bought in that manner.
I think the LS3 is going to be a hot car. I am thinking about one myself...it would be my "who says you can't go home? Tour."
