Default C4 Fuel Cell...

Anyone know a good fuel cell that is not too expensive but is safe for racing and will fit in the stock location. RCI makes some long narrow aluminum tanks but the fill hole is on the side and not centered.

Any inputs would be helpful. Thanks!

Default C4 fuel cell

Not cheap, but for a dedicated race car I am using a 22 gallon ATL cell mounted in a cage fabricated for that specific purpose. Cage is very strong and protects the cell. Fills thru stock gas lid in center of rear. If you are interested in more info, contact me at eogel@nc.rr.com. Preparing to leave for race at Watkins Glen this weekend and will respond when I return. Just a note, if you are going to protect yourself, get a good cell. It’s like buying a helmet; get a $10 helmet for a $10 head.

What are you using for a fuel pump?

Richard,
If that question is for eogel, I do not know the brand. Delayed response is because I had to get under the car. No name or markings visible. It is a cylinder style external to the fuel cell, and was on the car when I purchased it several years ago.

Not cheap, but Melrose sells a fuel cell and nice bolt in mount (fuel cell cage) for the C4s.
