'02 Z06 shock upgrade question
fellas...
it's time to swap out shocks on my 2002 Z06. I want to switch to '04's. I heard that Chey also changed the rear sway bushing's and control arm bushing too. Does anyone know the details on the '04 suspension changes? Part numbers? A good place to buy this stuff?

Melting Slicks
Can't tell ya for sure on the sway bars and such...
... but consider Bilstein Sports while looking at shocks. They will be quite a bit cheaper than the '04Z shocks, and I beleive they can be rebuilt too. I threw them on my '02Z and am very happy with the results.

Ok.... i did some more homework and found part of the answer:
- Besides the new shocks, there are two other changes. Front, upper control arm bushings now use higher durometer rubber to reduce compliance. This increases front "camber stiffness" under high cornering loads, especially during hard cornering over chatter bumps. The increased camber stiffness makes the front end stick a little better so, to balance the car, a little rear end grip was added by increasing the compliance of the rear stabilizer bar mounts. This had the same effect as a slight reduction in bar diameter but was less costly than tooling-up a new rear bar.

OK... all 4 shocks got it (part number 10339944 and 10339945) ... but what about the front upper control bushing and rear stabilizer bar mounts.
Can I just goto chevy and order those parts?
