I Need Tire Size Advice
I have 2001 C5 running stock sizes 245/45/17 & 275/40/18. I recently purchased a set of stock Z06 wheels 9.5" x 17" & 10.5" x 18" that I want to use to Track setup and I am thinking of purchasing the Falken Azenis in 275/40/17 and 295/40/18 but I am unsure if the 295/40/18 will work properly with the Active Handling feature. The 275/40/17 is 25.6 OD and the 295/40/18 is 27.2 OD. Looks like most people have gone with the 315/30/18 which is also 25.6 OD. Please let me know. Thanks.

You will probably find a lot of opinions about acceptable tire diameters. I have run equal diameter fronts and rears with no issues. I suspect that people that run odd combinations with bad results have loose electrical connectors or bad grounds.
I can't believe that the ABS can't accommodate minor diameter changes. What if you had bald rears and new fronts?

I personally haven't tried that combo but there are a few guys here on this forum that have been having troubles with those diameters. They're getting engine drag warnings. What's wrong with stock Z sizes? Go for the 265/45 in front and you'll be fine.

I run 275's up front and 315's on rear. My traction control comes on all the time, I have to turn off. As for active handling, I don't believe it comes on any more than it is supposed to.
