Default EBC yellow pad wear after track day

Is this normal? Neither my wife nor I were particularly impressed with the pedal feel from these pads compared to HP+'s.

That is rough looking...

knowing your driving, why not try true track pads like DTC-70s for the frotn and DTC-60s for the rear? Or Carbotech XP12 fronts 10s rear?

Yeah, that's what we're looking at next. It's always something, ain't it?

ECB brake pads tend to be for 2000 lbs cars not 3000 lbs corvettes.

Those pads are glazed over from over braking and over heating.

Hate EBC pads. Tried them on my Miata _on the street_ and took them off and put HP+s on just in case that car ever sees a track day.

Thought I'd give them a try as a combo autox/HPDE pad after seeing them recommended in GRM. Oh well, next.

I had decent luck with the RED's, as I got them very cheap. But much prefer Hawk pads.

Not yet. Something else for the to-do list.

Thanks for posting ... confirms my suspicions about EBC pads ... (BTW ... I have EBC Greens on my street driver (Saab 9-5) ... and I prefer the OEM pads to the EBC's)

Default Solution for EBC Yellowstuff

Guys you have all used the older 1846 compound from these shots, the new 1793 is all we spec for this car now and all we sell, they are way better.

Over the last 6 years since EBC got taken over by myself Red Green and Yellow compounds have made massive leaps in performance, if you buy or try and EBC product and its not an absolute delight come back to me please and we will take care of business for you.

Thanks Andy Freeman owner EBC Brakes
