Heim seal covers?
Has anyone used these?

I am thinking of using some, also I wonder if they would dampen the clinking noise of the heim joints.

Packing them with grease might stop the noise.
If you don't seal them, I think they should be run dry. Anything other than dry lube will attract grit and wear them out faster.

I still have no idea how a heim joint makes noise. I have 50,000 on mine and they are still fine with no noise. I spray them iwth PB Blaster once in a while.

a lot of the noise is due to the fact that the OEM holes are metric, and the heims are standard. Most have a little it of play in the hardware.
Heims have traditionally been race only hardware, and noise isn't an issue. I still vote for just running 2 heims (1 front and 1 rear) for street applications. Cuts the noise in half, still get the adjustability.
Try the covers and let us know how the fit.

Mine clunk a bit on rough roads. I assumed that it was clearance between the ball and socket, but maybe it's something else with clearance in it.

FWIW, Pfadt's heim joints don't make noise. If you want a quiet street ride and good handling, get their swaybar kits. His end links have a poly sleeve between the ball and the socket.

They are awesome, totally Mil-spec quality. The company got a lot of press back in Desert Storm when they supplied them for the Apache and Blackhawk helicopters that have alot and I mean alot, of Hiem joints (spherical rod ends) in the rotor assembly. They will do nothing for the noise in new Heim joints, because if you have that, they are crappy rod ends. They will prevent sand and dirt from getting in and wearing them out prematurely then making noise in quality (i.e. Aurora brand) rod ends.

I have the EM ones in back, they make a slight clink sound but I can only hear it if I drive real slow with the window down. I will try the covers. I do find quite a bit of dirt on them, could be brake pad material to.

Seals-It also makes what look like "rubber booties" to cover the whole heim end of the link.
I have VBP end links and they rattle. It isn't the space between the ball and the sleeve (heim) that does it. Like David said. There is some play in the hole that the joint is bolted too. Also mine are set to 0 preload. That means they are loose when the car is at rest. So on a bumpy road you hear some rattle because they are a bit loose. I could tighten them a bit more which might cause a tiny preload and I'll be they get a fair bit quieter.
Someone try those seals and let us know how they work out.
I think over the winter I'm pulling the heims out and putting stock Z06 end links back in but leaving the T1 bars.
