Default TCS Turns itself on and off randomly?????????????

It's a 98 C5. One weekend I had to run my race tires to and from an event. 315/335/17s. After that I switched back to the normal stock rims. Everything was fine. About a week or so later I start the car and the TCS is already off. So I hit the button and it goes on, then drive down a block or so and it turns itself off. No warning lights or anything.

Now the TCS goes on/off/on all the time. And sometimes the button works, sometimes not. And I've unplugged the switch and the TCS still goes on and off.

Recently my starter has been acting up as well. I don't know if these two are related but the car would just go click click and not turn over. It finally one day did start so I drove it to a local shop. They won't get to it till next month.

Do you guys have any idea of what could cause the TCS problem? What stuff should I look for? Do you think the TCS and the starting sylinoid are related?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

Yes, You are correct. As you always are. Next summer I think I need to give this road racing thing a try. You said it was easy.
