Default Need Brake Help!

I am prepping my car for a NASA event next weekend and I put on my new pads (Carbotech XP10/XP8). I have been running stock Z06 pads and the footprint of the stock rear pads is smaller than the XP8. The stock rotor is also raised slightly to accomodate the stock pad footprint.

So the issue I am having is that the XP8 hangs over the edge of the old pad running surface and over the rusty center section toward the hat. Can I run it like this or will it shimmy and wear grooves in the new pad?

If I put a brand new set of rotors on with new pads, that is a asking for trouble, right? What should I do... I am kind of at a loss on this one. My options right now seem to be either run it like it is or do new pads and rotors at the same time.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I've had the same issue with the XP-8 & 10's for the rear, I just run them like that and haven't had a problem.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up putting on new rotors and pads on all 4 corners and bedded the pads.
