..How to check salvage car for the track..???
Know alot of people look for salvage cars to drive on the track..
but how do they check them out for possible frame damages..
Seems like a track car you'd want a good frame even more than
a street car...as you'd be pushing the car more and driving it
faster..
Is just a feel thing with the frame if you have enough
experience with corvettes you could tell just by driving it..???
Because have been told a bent frame often can not be seen
visually...
...from photos looks like was a pole or a car scraped it and a
side hit of some sort..from front of driver door to just past th
the door..no interior damage but back wheel got twisted ..car
seems ok now..but I can't tell by driving it...no seams to see as
everything is fixed on the car...
But have no experience w/ corvettes myself..no expert..so I can't
really tell....should this got to a special body shop with a laser
to check frame for bentness...and does the car have to come
apart to do this...
..or can someone experienced at a shop tell
just by looking at the car and driving it..???
Some one mentioned dick guldstrand motorsports in Burbank..
..seems like a good shop..owner has alot of years in racing vettes..
