Default Autopower roll bar/cage

I am looking for installed pictures of the Autopower cage or race roll bar in an 84-96 hardtop vette I want to see where the main hoop sits as I am strongly considering buying one of these kits. thanks

Here is my old ZR-1 right before I sold her. The bar could have been shimmed a little higher, but the way you see it worked well for me.

Ed's sits MUCH lower than my AutoPower Rollbar. I barely had room to fit padding on. It was a TIGHT fit. I can no longer see much of anything behind me. I have about a 4" view that I can see behind me, just above the release mechanism, the rest is hidden by the bar/padding. You get used to it though.

I had mine welded to the frame. Cut holes in the carpet and fiberglass to get right on the frame.

Here's two pictures from another racecar I had. This is the famous Junkyard Dog that Jeff built and he took these pictures when the autopower bar was installed.
I didn't take any pictures when I cut up the ZR-1 though.

Hope that helps you.

I have lots of pictures of the cut/weld install on my C4 that I can send you of my install process. What are you looking for? Pictures of the finished product or pictures of each step of the install process?

Jeff's pictures would indicate that the bar is welder directly to the metal frame. My rollbar came with 3/8" metal plates that had holes pre-drilled to match the rollbar. The plates were welded to the metal frame and the rollbar was then attached to the welded plates with SAE grade 8 or so bolts, nuts.
