Default Had a great time at BMW Autox at TMS last Saturday!

Last Saturday the Lone Star BMW (DFW area) autocross was held at the "bus lot" at Texas Motor Speedway. Much smaller than our typical haven out at Mineral Wells, but virtually zero gravel, and the course designers do a great job of getting the most out of a small lot. This course was based on one of the courses used at the Nationals, but obviously isn't identical.

Six Vettes, four or five f-bodies, and several 'Stangs were present. Jeff (5W0P3), Justin (jtkeller), Lisa (rotgirl), and Reb (RobertEarl) were there from CF.

There was also one very interesting car, a BMW 3-series that had an LS-1/6 speed drivetrain (they call it the GMW ). Still sorting things out, but still managed to set FTD. A real beast!

Anyway, on to the video!!

Now I just need some stickier tires!!!!

Enjoy, and have a good one!

Yeah, we do have some great sites here in the DFW area. Our "home" site is out at Mineral Wells, about an hour west of the metroplex. Here's a video from earlier in the summer:

Admittedly this is is a long one, but most are 1.3-1.5 miles in length. Great use of an abandoned Vietnam helicopter pad!

Have a good one,
Mike

The BMW you speak of is the Alpha car built by Vorshlag. It is Vorshlag's first car to have an LS1. My friends dad is having a 3 series built by Vorshlag that will have an LS motor with other 600hp.

This is the video of the Alpha car at the autocross.

Here is the link to my friends dad's car on the Bimmer Forum.

The car is going to be amazing.
