Default 12 hours at Sebring

Looks like we are going to sebring for the 12 hr race in march. I've never been there & need some advice. I think we want reserved parking in the north paddock near turn 1. We will have a van and a 10x10 pop up. Anybody have any advice? do's? don"ts? Thanks in advance

You will have a great time, I would get a reserved spot. It is a lot cheaper to park in Green Park but it is a land rush for a good spot and it can get very wild over there. Green Park is a great place to visit and party but I would not want to live there for a week.

Default zoo

reserved is absolute must!!!! The place is insane and definitely no place for small kids. 100,ooo people! I did it last year and was speechless at the size of the crowd ; especially considering the cost to get in. And yes I want to go back.

MY ADVICE:

if you've never been to Petit LeMans, I'd suggest skipping Sebring and doing Petit instead!

..depends though, you more of a hardcore fan or more into the partying?....

Green Park, is a world away from the race at Sebring! A few years ago, a race team I know from the UK came to Sebring for the first time. After practice on thrusday, they decided to take a drive thru Green park, since they had heard so much about it. They said it was nothing like they had seen before, and they have done Lemans, Spa, Daytona, etc.

Stay away from Green Park and walk through it and enjoy the sights. Sebring is great to watch as you can get in the pits and watch them work on the cars, see them tune and get good pics. Don't miss the night shots at the hairpin so you can watch the brakes turn cherry red.

Have fun

Default Sebring in the USA

There are many people there unaware they are at a race track

I know of no other place on the face of the earth quite like Sebring......

Don' miss it, enjoy.............

What a great event but keep the kids away from the main camping area. Not kid friendly. Reserved spots are great and you will meet nice people. Have fun and enjoy. It has things the Petit Lemans does not have and I go to both and enjoy each.

Sebring is more then a race it is a happening. Green Park is a must see, but it can be wild at night. I would not suggest going there with kids (Green Park that is). Green Park is where the spring breakers are. Many don't even realize there is a 12 hour race taking place. There is a family area if you have kids, and there are alot of kids there.
You can walk the paddock area and watch all the race teams prepare. The support races are also very good. Go and have fun. Don't forget to stop at the Corvette Coral.
