Default CCW Wheels: How Difficult to Clean

I'm about to pull the trigger on CCW C-10 wheels for my C6 Z51. These wheels come with a "brushed and clear anodized" finish. They may also be available with a polished finished. How easy are these wheels to clean (brake dust, etc.)?

I've read that wheels with a clear coat finish are easy to clean. I don't know if the CCW wheels are available in clear coat.

Hose them off, spay on some Armor ALL aluminum wheel cleaner, take a damp rage and wipe off the dirt, then hose them off again.

Now, Dont expect ANY wheel to be as clean as the pictures over in the waxer sections, but they can get reasonably clean

It will depend on the pads you run, how often you clean them and when. Race pads and rain then you need to clean them right away. If it dries it will fuse on anything. Race pads wear and red hot dust can melt into clear coat of the car and the wheels. CCW are great wheels!

And I don't think that John clearcoats any of his wheels. Give him a call he is great to deal with. Street or Track they are great wheels and super to do business with. JD

How does the "brushed and clear anodized" finish compare to the "polished" finish for cleaning? Which finish would you recommend?

I have both, the polished and black anodized, but prefer the looks of the polished. Then again some people prefer chocolate to vanilla, which I don't understand...

How do the two finishes compare for ease of cleaning?

Black cleans much easer, or I dont see all the dirt

I have two sets Black CCW classic track and a set of CCW Classic street in polished.

These are pics of dirty wheels:

Classic Track in black anodized centers

Classic Street - polished ( not clear coated )

I prefer black anodized wheels for ease of cleaning, I do like the Corsairs in polished or plain aluminum finish over the black.

I have had 4 sets of ccw and now planning my 5th set (2 street and 3 track).

For the track I have been running both black and polished classics 17in. The polished clean easily with Mequires Hot Wheels and a wet sponge. The blacks also clean easy, but over time I have noticed that the front blacks are starting to change color alittle bit. It might be from the heat of the brakes.

I plan to talk to John about it and see what he thinks.

BTW my new set is the Corsairs.

It seems like the polished finish is the way to go. Thanks for your input!
