Which DOT-R tires will last the longest? Victoracers or Nitto R2s?

Which DOT-R tires will last the longest? Victoracers or Nitto R2s?
Looking for tires for the Panoz... don't want V710s as I want a tire that will last a long time. My father and I are both driving the car and want low cost/low maintenance.
I was thinking a set of Victoracers should handle everything we can throw at them? Yes/No?
They're $180 each on tire rack for the 275/40/17s which are what we need.
Any better options?

If by Victoracer you mean the old V700 then they will wear significantly faster than the Toyo RA1/R888 / Nitto 555RII. The latter three are all the same compound, BTW.

What about the NT-01? I've heard it's also the same compound as the RA-1 family, but with a bit more of a 'slick' tread pattern and updated wall structure vs the R2. I've been very happy with their longevity.

I liked the 555rII's...I ran the 275 in the front of the z and they had great wear...my issue was I had no track alignment and wore them unevenly. I think they are cheap too.

The victor racers do last a long time. Especially if you run them at higher pressures. They do work well in the rain when new.
But I have heard Toyo's last for a long time, not that I ever tried them.
Actually what I heard about Toyo's.... exact quote from a spec racer.

I will be on the V710's but only becuase I need something for both HPED and autox events. If I were just running track days I would go the Nitto NT-01's. I ran the RII's for a season and loved them.
The NT-01's are even better from what I have heard.

FYI - Hoosier is selling Rolex tires online - new
They are cheap, last a long time, and sound like just what you're looking for.

I've run both Victoracers and Nitto RII's. But, not on the same car. The Nitto's lasted much longer. Running the Nitto's, I caught, passed and pulled away from a better prepared car running Hoosier slicks. I will run Nitto's on my Panoz when the time comes to put some sticky tires on it.
You should consider running the street tires that came on it. At least for awhile. Low traction will teach you better car control. The Pirelli's will probably last forever too.

^ I agree... going to run the Pirellis for the first few events... I drove it around the nighboorhood today... going to be an adjustment getting comfortable in the car vs. a Z06. I've run all my HPDEs in the vette and am very comfortable with it.
The view from the panoz is very much like my buddy's Viper... not a lot of road to see... just hood an fenders. That's ok... you should be looking up/out on track anyway.
