I use the IOPort camera mount and a Panasonic miniDV camera. It's a few years old... Excuse the music please, as I was just snipping out a few scenes from the DVD I shot with lots of music and graphics timed to it. Unfortunately it's about 330MB and not able to be dumped to youtube!

Yup Randy was the instructor in all three of those clips. That was the only session I shot all day.

Something like the Sony 520 line CCD Bullet Cam? I have been looking to upgrade just for the increased video quality.

Thanks

That's what I've been using this past season, with the default lens (don't remember the focal length off the top of my head) and a polarizing filter oriented to accomodate the HUD.

Youtube video doesn't give you the best presentation of this camera's capability, but it's pretty good, esp. for the price. Great thing about it is:

1. its size and light weight let you put the camera into lots of places, and the lens is protected so gravel hits aren't catastrophic
2. you can mount your camcorder wherever you want

Check out my recent post on our last BMW autocross event; I've got a run recorded with this camera there.

HTH, and have a good one,
Mike

Some nice video, Mike. The Porsche is impressive, and I would have to rate the M3 Vid as my favorite..... ha ha

Nope, this is a standard consumer camcorder.

Thanks for sharing Mike. Great stuff. Hope to see you next year. Glad to see you have fixed your issue from Shenandoah with MDA.

It was a rear endlink. I went ahead and upgraded all four from the spindly stock units to adjustable heimjoint units that will help when we get the car back on the scales for cornerweighting/alignment over the winter. I have Bilsein PSS9 Coilovers and HR adjustable sway bars, and I was shocked to see the stock drop links in place. They were begging to be snapped!

One of the down sides to buying someone elses 90% complete supercar is finishing it off, as you find the weak links!

Mike
