Default Fikse FM10 torque spec

Putting rims back together after getting the centers powdercoated. Anyone know how much these guys need to get torqued to?

TIA,
Arnel

Torque specs have nothing to do with the wheel that you are putting on the car. Your specs depend on the size of the stud on the vehicle and on the lug nut. For Corvettes torque the lugs to 100 foot pounds and you will be set.

Are you talking about the 40 some odd bolts that hold the 3 pieces together?

yes he is. IIRC its like 15lb/ft

CCW has a wheel assembly DIY on their site. That should be applicable to fiskes.

I wouldn't go by what the CCW specs are since that is a bolt into a separate nut. The Fikse's have bolts that thread into the aluminum center. I've called Fikse before about this and they wouldn't tell me so I'm interested also.

Sorry, yes this for the 40 some bolts holding the pieces together. I have the CCW's and those are much bigger and are hardened. The Fikse's as ibjamin mentions thread into that aluminum center. Before removing them I should have checked but they were threadlocked and it probably wouldn't have been accurate. One thing for sure they were no where nears CCW's spec. 15 might work.

If I find a note which I think I had gotten from them I'll post but until then, if you've got em... post em..

There is a nice fellow in C5 that works for Fikse. Cant remember his name but search him out as a vendor and give him a call.

Thanks for those who replied... I couldn't find my notes and decided to just give them a call. The torque for FM10's are a resounding 15ft/lbs

AVB, are yours the ones getting done at 4 your wheelz on Lafayette and Central? What do you think of that place?

I stopped by and talked with the one guy there. He seemed nice enough and they have good equipment (corghi I think).

Yup those were mine I've dealt with Frank on a number of occasions and they do all my tire mounts/dismounts also. So far, I haven't had anything to complain about. Their reasonable on pricing and are able to mount tire's without destroying rims. As far as the powdercoating, I basically handed them the centers and pointed to the areas which needed to be masked. I chose a matt-black finish and it turned out excellent!

Probably one of the easiest jobs they've ever had to do. They'll continue to see regular business from me.

Cool. I'm deciding between them and my longtime fave Custom Alignment in Mtn view to setup my Forgeline SP3Ps. Given the wear pattern on my current tires I think I could use an alignment as well, but it doesn't necessarily have to be the same place.
