275/40/17 or 295/35 for the front?

275/40/17 or 295/35 for the front?
Racing days are coming fast and I need new front wheels. It seems like the wider 10 or 10.5 rim for 295's is harder to come by.
Both tires are about $200 for the K710's

You can run a 295/40 V710 on a 9.5" wide front - Solo guys do it all the time. On a 10" wide wheel, you can run a 315 - T1 guys do it all the time. To me, more rubber is nearly always better.

I see that the tire rack has all the 710's on close out does that mean that Kumho is out of racing? What other brands are there. If 17 inch wheels are going out I might just get 18's

Check with tire Rack, but since racing tires have a shelf life (ie: get harder with age), they may want to dump all their current inventory and start next season with new stock.
