Z06 wheels on an FRC
Have a 2000 FRC and am looking at some wheels for autocross. The wheels are the OEM's off a 2004 Z06. How can I verify the wheels are stockers? Will the 2000 tp sensors work in these wheels? Can I use the wheels in SS class solo 2? Can I get decent autocross rubber that will fit the Z06 wheels?
I know I can search, and I will. I'm trying to get some fast answers before making a purchase. Found the wheels on the local Craigslist and dont know how long they will be available.
Thanks for any help!!!

You can use your 2000 tire pressure sensors (TPS) on 2004 Z06 OEM wheels. Both old ('97-'00) and new ('01-'04) style TPS work in OEM wheels. I don't know the answer to your Solo 2 question. You can find several auto-x tire options for the Z06 wheels. Check out the Tire Rack.

You can not use the Z06 wheels in SS class. You have to use stock (size) wheels that come with the car. 18x9.5 17x8.5 You could put on 315/35/18 275/40/17 Kumho V710's on those stock wheels. It will work.

Z06 wheels wouldn't look right on an FRC anyway.

strip the paint and sand them down and make them lighter. and do a road force balance and don't use wheel weights. use bald tires to save the weight of the tread. leave the valve stems off. ok this is getting further and further out there.

Will Falken RT-615s work as well on my 2000 FRC stock wheels? The sizes I'm interested in is exactly 275/35/17 fronts and 315/30/18 rears to learn to Road Race. I had always thought I needed to buy OEM zo6 wheels.
