Default FS: 2 front Ti brake pad shims... stop your dust boots from melting

I ran these on the inboard front pad only to prevent heat transfer and dust boot melting. No need to run an outside one.

$30 shipped

Yes... My front dust boots survived the four events I put them through after getting fresh calipers and installing these... they still look new. Before they'd be melting after a few events.

Well that says something for them. I was trying to find a way to keep the heat out of the fluid the best I could. this may work well.

Thanks

Eric, look into stainless steel pistons too. It's on my to-do list as well.

I've got a set of 4 of these that I'd like to sell. Split to two sets of two if two people want to buy. They are for the C5 front. I bought them from PFYC.com last summer. I have a C4 that I upgraded to C5 brakes, now looking at a Wilwood upgrade. Too much flex in the C4 to C5 adapter braket for hard track use.

I was going to ask $80 for the set of 4, but I'll follow the precedent set here and take $60 for the set.

Let me know.

By the way, it will be this weekend before I can take them off the car for pics or shipping. They look very similar (heat discoloration) to the ones pictured below, although they do have tabs on each end that fit into the guides with the tabs the pads slide on.

Ya I have looked into them as well. I believe DRM makes a really nice set.
