Default ALMS to lead the way with "GREEN" RACING

The announcement by the American Le Mans Series that it was partnering with the Department of Energy, the Society of Engineers and virtually everyone else who cares about regulating and creating vehicles that will go a long way with various propulsion devices is a game changer.

They are supposed to have a hydrogen 500 in 2009. It's supposed to further along hydrogen technology. What improves the breed better or furthers technology faster than racing? I'm actually excited about it because it should be like the old days with combustion engines. They are going to have several different designs and they will have to balance it between speed and endurance to make the 500 miles. That's great in a day that 24 hour races are virtually sprint races any longer.
