Default Recomended Max tire size for stock C5 or C5 Z06 wheels for Auto-X

I am either going to put C5 wheels or C5 Z06 wheels on my Vette for Auto-X. Either way, they will be 18's all the way around. What is the max tire size I can put on without a problem? Would I be better off putting C5's on the front and C5 Z06's on the rear? For the width difference?
Thanks in advance

I run A6 Hoosier 315x30x18 on C5Z06 rear wheels all the way around on my C6A6Z51. You have to use about 1/4" spacer on the fromt to mimize rubbing inner fender well at full lock.

If you are going to use a 1/4 inch spacer on the fronts I'd recommend getting longer studs or you run a very good chance of ripping the threads out of the lug nut. FWIW

Most of the fast SS class guys run 295/315 front/rear on C5 Z06 wheels. In 710s you're stuck with 295/40-17 front and 315/35-18 rear so they end up a bit tall but the stagger is still right and they work well. That's what I've had on my stock Z06 wheels when I've AutoXed or Road Coursed it. On 17x11 ZR1's all around I've run both 315/35-15 all around and 315/35-17 and 335/35-17 rear. Both worked well. On my 18x11 & 18x12 CCW Classics I run 315/30-18 & 335/30-18s.

Are you planning to run any SCCA or AAS events, or just the SCC events? If you are getting planning SCCA or AAS remember that your wheel choice will effect classing.

looking at Hoosier's is fun, but they work better when they are on the car
