Kirkey Seats Wow - Thanks Gary@HardbarUSA
Ok I can say this is a great move for me.
Thanks to the Vette forum for listing seat choices and Many Thanks to Gary@hardbarusa for cementing in my mind to go with Kirkey and to go with the Deluxe RR seat.
I have seen Gary's work so when he says something is Functional and good quality than you know it is. I have found his requirements are far surpassed many others.
I measured myself like instructed by kirkey by sitting between 2 2x4s. I also added a measurement for shoulders to seat to make sure the harness holes would be in the correct spot.
Based on the dimensions I did not need a custom seat from Kirkey so I ordered the 17in RR Deluxe seat with the added foam cover (the deluxe has the seat rail holes already fabricated making it easier to add Hardbar seat rails).
So I posted the seats the other day, but those were from a friend that picked them up from me so I hadn't seen them up close. Yesterday I finally got to see them up close.
The workmanship on the seat is top notch. The quality is great from the aluminum seat all the way to the cover and foam.
So now the test does it fit. Well it fits perfect. I mean dead on with just a little room left for when I have the fire suit on.
I was alittle upset that I didnt buy these earlier now that I have sat in them. For the amount of times the car sees the street these will be perfect. I honestly think I could go on long rides without a problem which is the original reason I held off on getting a race seat.
So if anyone is interested in upgrading their seats make sure Kirkey is on top of your list. Combine that with Hardbar rails and you have not just a racing seat, but a racing seat that is top quality and looks great.

Can you squeeze the shoulder supports in a bit? I'm seat shopping, and the Kirkey is an option. Anybody used it with a HANS? How does it compare to an Ultrashield Deluxe Road Race seat? People run 10-degree or 20-degree layback?
I've also looked at the Cobra Sebring S - but as far as I can tell it only comes in one size, which doesn't seem good.
I'm 6' 2", 170 lbs and with the Sparco Evo L I've got, the shoulder belt pass-through's are too low, the butt is too wide, and the back support is horrible. Other than that, it's a great seat.
My car is, of course, track-only.

Yes.
To prevent contact with the halo on my C4, the curvature of the left
shoulder wing was increased (for symmetry, the right side was increased
likewise). This brought the tips closer to the centerline of the seat by
1" on each side.
There will be those who will do this with a ratcheting tie-down or equivalent.
However, my work was done in metal forming equipment and there is no
crimping/creasing of the wing or the trim around the perimeter.
For tunnel clearance, the leading portion of the right thigh support that
flares outward was straightened.
