Default At CMP this week-end with NASA SE

Finally got there late Friday and checked in Saturday; I was in the first run group HPDE 3&4; 2nd lap a crank pulley bolt walked out which took me out for the week-end; for the few laps I got in I have to say I really liked the changes; if anyone else was there share your thoughts; what were some lap times?

I was signed up but still sitting home with the flu. Worse case I've had in a while....

Sorry about your incident. I heard an STI did a barrel roll out of T14 and had to be air-lifted out?

Hi Khoi sorry you miss such a good weekend. I also ran in the HPDE 3&4 group and had a great time. I try out my new set up of tires, wheels, alignment, and bushing. It was the fast I have run there. I also had some help form Varkwso which is greatly appreciated.

I thought there was another vette in the run group. Sorry you broke. I hope you are back together by April when we run there again. It would be nice to have someone to play with. Of I still need to learn how to stay on the track for a whole session.

Think smooth inputs - handle the car like you handle Patches after you did something you shouldn't have...

Car should be done this week; a crank pulley bolt backed out; all is good; I am going back in April! Look forward to meeting you; any feedback on lap times?

We were in the white 1999 FRC and ran 1:44-45s both days.

according to MyLaps last year - 1:55.959 in July (heat and scrub tires)
- 1:53.100 in Feb (ABS issues)

My best ever on the old track was a 1:48x at a non-competitive event with good temps and fresh tires.

Clear symptom that you have been following too much of Varkwso's bad habits. I too was a victim of that not once but twice at CMP (the last one was a doozy). You can only take his advice in small dosages otherwise off-track excursions will be ingrained into your repertoire as well. Do what I do when you're a captive audience and he's in the car with you. YMMV but I pretend it's my wife talking so usually only about 1 out 5 or 10 words are retained in the conversation.....

It worked for me and I didn't go off once the weekend before last . Good luck!!

Jake rode with ZO6cool at CMP - even Jake could not get him faster - but he did manage to stay on track all weekend.

By the way anyone want some near sticker 335s on CCWs? ZO6cool had some at my house
