Got in for HPDE4 - pending acceptance of my driving experience. I chickened out for the ST2 race, but this seems like the best way to get some track time with no pressure. This way I at least seen it before my 1st SCCA National there at the end of May. Can't wait!

It appears that this will be a well-attended event; there are six ST2 entrees already (my name doesn't show up on the entry list yet).

First time at R/A for me, looking to have a good time. Bob M, can you show me the way around the track a few times, puleeeze?

I read in another forum that the BMW event scheduled the week before this event was cancelled (March 8-9). Apparently because of the bad weather, the track improvements (mostly safety) are delayed.

I hope not but unfortunely this event may be next up on the chopping block if Road Atlanta is still off schedule...

Anyone know any more?

The BMW event is scheduled to go on, they are planning to finish in time.

But the weather has been pretty bad, I'm sure they didnt get much done today.

Yep, BMW is officially cancelled.

NASA should be okay, but if not and they feel the need to reschedule it, I'm all in.

Dear Student,

If you were not already aware, Road Atlanta has been working during the off-season on some facility and safety improvements. Unfortunately, recent weather delays have caused the contractor doing the work to fall behind. The cushion that was built into the schedule was depleted and the track is not going to be ready in time for our event next weekend. Road Atlanta is booked through the rest of the spring and does not have room to reschedule; therefore our only choice is to cancel the March 7-9, 2008 Driving School.

Regrettably, the process that Motorsportreg.com (MSR) uses for credit card payments does not allow for refunds back to the credit cards used for payment. As a student confirmed in the school you have three options concerning your registration fees:

1) The club can provide you a full refund via check mailed to the address you have listed in your motorsportreg.com account;

2) Your registration fees will be turned into a credit within MSR. That value can be used towards any Peachtree Chapter BMWCCA driving school through August 2009; or

3) Your registration can be transferred to one of our other two schools this calendar year (July 4-6 or September 19-21). By deciding to transfer your registration to another school (instead of a credit in your MSR account) you are immediately confirmed in the event of your choice. This saves you the hassle of having to go through the registration process (again) and risk being waitlisted. That’s right! Your coveted slot will be confirmed months before registration opens.

While options 2 & 3 are preferred* from the committee’s standpoint, please choose whichever option suits your needs. E-mails instructing how you would like your registration fees handled should be sent to kelly@peachtreebmwcca.org.

Thank you, and please let us know if you have any questions.

PCA at Barbers the same weekend. There might be some spots left. You can go to PCA.org and click on to region 3 and it will send you to where you need to go to sign up.

There are 7 ST2 entrees for this race, including a certain #37 ST2 2002 Corvette. Ah, a very familiar car!

4 ST1 entrees as well.
