That is a great car with great prep.
I personally saw a whole new drive train, from engine to tranny, go into that car in the days before the Run-offs in October 2007 and it has not been raced since to my knowledge. That car should be ready to go.

still waiting on GM to give us the to drop the new engine in there. I'm hoping to make the March Roebling event. Joe, Mark and the Phoenix crew have been awesome help. Here's a preview of the new car: http://www.corvettekillstories.com/p...s/100_0571.JPG

Thanks... can't wait to race it.
Yeah, I decided to try the Ho-Hos this year. I've tested them before and really liked them, but never did race on 'em. Everything is different this year - new car, shocks, tires, wheels, suit, steering wheel, belts... The only things that are familiar to me is the seat, boots and gloves! ha ha

The wheels are the new CCW 18"...one piece...ultra strong and light! ...and you don't need extra long wheel studs.
Carbotechs still rock in my book. I just haven't found anything that is as consistent from start to finish - great product, great folks! Last year's Sebring race just reaffirmed what I knew. While the folks running the Hawks burned their stuff up and ran out, I still had pedal at the end and won it easily.

Yep. It's a little lighter, has a bit more headroom and I remember seeing several Vettes out there with hardtops that are/were coming apart. I just didn't want to deal with that. I did put some stick on vinyl under the top though to keep all the sun out in the summer time.

Spun the #5 bearing on the 2d warm up lap of the Sebring test day. GM has the engine now and is examining it. We really don't know what happened yet. 18+ years and 65K track miles...my luck finally ran out I guess. Phoenix and GM have been ultra responsive though, so I'm sure I'll be back on track soon.

Probably just a rumor, but I won't know for sure 'til I start pounding on it. From what I hear it has the same oil pump as the LS2 so that shouldn't be an issue. I think I'm the only guy running an LS3 right now and as Joe says: Sometimes when you're a pioneer, you come back with a few arrows in you!
I know Mike McGinley is building an 08 for competition so with both of us running an LS3, we should figure everything out.
Mine had just short of 1K miles when I dropped it off for T1 prep and it did perfectly on the street.

looks nice!! i was watching the run-offs for 07, and was wondering when you were going to trade up. looks like that's what it's going to take to keep up. what engine do they let you put in there for t-1. good luck this year!!! by the way what is your best overall time at road atl. it's pretty amazing what you can do with that car with that hp. i'm the new one will be considerably faster......
- C6s can run either the LS2 or LS3. Mine's an 08 and came with an LS3 and that's what we're putting back in there.
- Best time at RA was a mid 1:32 in qualifying.

Car is as it was at the Runoffs with a new ABS module (this is what failed during the race). Matt McCombs is the gentleman that bought the car and I wish him all the luck I have had with it over the last 5 years. Back in 2003 Jerrome Plunkit of JP Race Cars built that car from the dealer new into a race car and it was able to land me a 4th place at the 2003 Runoffs in both of our rookie years. Good luck Mac.
