Talk to me about Hoosier R6's
So I may or may not have ponied up for a set of sticker R6's in anticipation of the NASA race this coming weekend. For the hypothetical situation that I did in fact get a set of these tires, what advice would you guys have?
Hoosier's website says to have tire pressures of like 38 hot. After searching a bit some people say they like it lower at about 30/26 F/R. I'm coming from Kumho's, so this is somewhat foreign territory to me. All I know is that I ran a set of scrubbed R5's, and they were very fast.
Whats the general consensus?
Also, would anyone be interested in buying a set of 315 R6's for 150 a tire with like 6 heat cycles?

new R6's are awesome. I run mine around 28lbs cold+/- depending on conditions. Id say go for it. You might never look back.
good luck this weekend. I wont be there as my car is still in pieces mainly due to part delays

Run the left front at 58#'s hot. The left rear should be at 75#, which works perfectly with the right rear at 28#'s hot. To balance the car the right front should be at 11#'s hot. That gives an average of 43#'s per tire, which is xactly what you're hunting for.
Wallyman, if I can give you any other help for next week's race, I'm here for you!

I finish about 40-41 hot and start about 33/32 front / rear on my car. Some like it low because it feels like it grips better but it is slower. Lower pressure and you will ruin them fast. camber 3 front or real close then 1.5 rear. Great tires.

Run the higher pressures but bring your "A" game!
Come Spec Miata racing, 20-30 car fields! Doesn't seem so slow when going three abrest around a corner. I'll have to admit, however, wish I had a T1 Corvette!!!!
