Personally, I would go with the 295/30 Hoosier R6 on the stock 10.5 wheel for HPDE road course events to ensure best tire & wheel fitment and performance. Depending on the tire manufacturers, some 315s fit fine on a 10.5 wheel, e.g., Kumho, while some will buldge out, which you want to avoid given high speed and high lateral g-forces. If Hoosier says 11" in the minumum for the 315, I would follow the Hoosier recommendation and go with the 295s. Just my .02.

Mike's logic in the previous post is spot on. I ran into a supply problem two years ago with finding the 295 tires and ordered a set of the 315s. I run stock Z06 speedline wheels and have had absolutely no problems with the 315 tires. I have run 3 sets over the last 2 years with great performance and no irregular wear.

The Hoosier 315/30/18 is perfect for the stock 10.5" rear wheel.

Front 295/35/17 on stock 17" front wheel----that's a go also

Visit the Hoosier website: https://www.hoosiertire.com/specrr.htm and scroll down to A6/R6 for recommended wheel widths. It states for both the 17" and 18" 315 tires, the minimum is 11". The 10.5" wheel is perfect for the 295 according to their fitment spreadsheet, but you can always take a chance on the 315s on the road courses.

If you were checking fitment for "daily driving" - I'd say the Hoosier 315 should be safe if you really wanted them. You'd be amazed at how different tire manufacturers and models for the same 315 can fit a wide range of wheel widths - always good to doublecheck the recommendations of the manufacturer.

I just checked the Kumho website - their Ecsta V710 tire in a 315/35 in the 17" and 18" will fit a 10.5 wide wheel. Mike

315 on a 10.5" wheel is fine regardless of what the Hoosier web site says-----

ALL 50 or so C5Z06's that autox nationally run that tire on that wheel.

Better yet call Hoosier directly----and ask them---sure they will tell you no problemo
