Default Need help in Georgia from fellow racers!!

Hey folks - my co-driver is down at South Georgia Motorsports Park this weekend for the SCCA National Tour and a brand new Koni blew up on him this morning just before practice. I have been calling all kinds of parts stores from all over the area and I can't find anything. I'm doing everything I can from here in St. Louis.

If someone here has an extra stock shock for an 04 C5 (its a Z06 but at this point we don't care what car it came off - just as long as it fits) and lives anywhere near Valdosta/Macon GA please reply here and we'll work something out! We only need the shock from today through Sunday - then you'll get it right back.

Thanks a lot everyone

Right now we've got some Monroe Sensatracs off a 1981 Camaro on the car...

They're too short, but beyond that they fit. Not an ideal setup, but at least we have something on the car so we can play tomorrow.

That will teach me to not come prepared!

Thanks, I think right now we're just going to stick with the Camaro shocks unfortunately. With all the rain and having to run 2nd heat I don't think there's enough time to do much more

Nick, I left for the event just before you posted this, and I had a set of stock '03Z shocks I could have brought up w/ me...

Which car was yours?

I was there in my SM Evo

It was for Chris Hammond in the Red Z06 in SS.

They ended up with using like Camaro shocks-----

I am sure not as good as stock---but I think he finished like 6th or something real close to that.
