Default C4 Race Car for Sale....

ABOUT TO EXPIRE ON THAT AUCTION WEBSITE...FOR A GOOD PRICE TOO!!!

This C4 Race Car that is current in the development stages....Car has been completly gone through and has a built 385 with a Richmond 6-Speed/Lakewood scatter shield and a Dana-44 rear end. This car is being built to be a track only car and to meet ITE specifications. Currently the car has a welded-in 6-point roll cage that can be easily modified to be a fully developed NASCAR style surround cage. Car is light; appx 2,800 lbs and has Z-51 suspension components. This project is currently at the 3/4 stage and needs a little more to make it complete. I have approximately $2,500 in new aftermarket parts that make the car complete; (see pictures). Included parts are as follows; Laser cut Heavy Duty 10 ga. aluminum dash to house 8-instruments; Tach, speedo, direct oil pressure, direct water temp, voltmeter, oil pressure warning light, water temp warning light, and Moroso switch panel; New Edelbrock Air-Gap manifold installed with Barry Grant 750 Mighty Demon Carb, New Fram Racing Fuel Filter, Fuel Pump, and New Pressure regulator with braided SS line, Completely new Autometer gauges, New Taylor remote battery mount, 2-New Momo Racing seats, 2-New Simpson 5-Point Racing Harnesses, New Adjustable Seat Tracks, New Momo Steering wheel, New Momo race pedals, New 3" X-Pipe with New 3" Straight Racing Pipes...New 10 system Wiring Harness, LOTS of misc parts...List goes on...All Fabrication work has been done accurately/professionally to exacting standards! Car is ready for completion and the only reason for selling is that I have just purchased a complete NASCAR race car that is track ready.

Looking to get $7,500 OBO. Original engine detail/description of when I purchased vehicle is attached following pictures.

Thanks!

ORIGINAL ADVERTISEMENT WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR.....

Update 6/11/07: motivated, need garage space, ready to sell.

Used for NCCC autocross group IIIRP but could go III with radio reinstalled. Brought home some overall FTDs once I got used to it. Tagged and street driven (seldom) until recently. Engine and some chassis mods by Brett Hamm, who was active on this board until he went into Legends racing. I did rest of chassis mods.

Front spring is '89 Z51, rear spring is '95 Z07. Has 13" J55 brakes with Hawk HP+ pads. Before underdrive pulleys, dynoed 375.52hp at the wheels @ 5700rpm and 405 ft-lbs torque at 4000 rpm, so is close to 430hp SAE net - have the dyno sheet. Ported LT1 intake machined for distributor, ported heads, coated headers, 8-qt pan etc. Howe radiator with custom enclosure keeps engine very cool, has bigmouth-style lower opening with some ram-air effect at speed. Originally a D36 auto car now D44 and Richmond 6-speed trans. Car's light - 3,000 lbs before roll bar install.

Went to Atlanta Dragway once only, November 2003 when it had the auto and D36/2.49 rear. Ran 12.338/114.73, 12.39/114.60, 12.715/114.28, 12.415/115.33, 12.383/114.85 and 12.565/114.74. Sorry, no drags after 6-speed install.

Is very competitive on autocross course and could easily be used for road racing or HPDE. Interior is intact except for radio and small trim, breadbox deleted. Removed AC but heater still works. Leather seats are in good shape.

Exterior:
New windshield and windshield molding.

The Bad:
There is a paint chip (clear coat) missing on the front DS bumper from contact with a timing light. There are holes from where a ground effects kit was previously mounted, no rocker panels.
Paint is glossy but has plenty of pecks and rash on the nose and lower body thanks to sticky tires.
DS window regulator works, but has started needing help up and down.
Needs to be re-aligned.

A very, very competitive car in the right hands, easy to drive fast. Is street legal but very hot and a bit loud inside for that. Just bled clutch/brakes, changed oil, and replaced brake booster.

Asking $9,000 without Schroth harnesses but with Brey-Krause mounts. The 95 wheels are not included at this price; car comes with a set of 88-89 wheels painted black, no center caps, worn out 710s mounted, and a set of 88-89 wheels w/ really nice center caps and street tires. CCWs are negotiable.
