HPDE - Grattan Raceway Friday May 2nd
May 2nd will start our 6th season of HPDE's at Grattan Raceway in Belding, Michigan.
The event is limited to 45 vehicles.
We will run 8 sessions, each 20 minutes long, consisting of 15 vehicles per session.
A classroom session will start the day for the novice/intermediate drivers. Instructors will be avaialble for ride alongs and advice.
While not a driving school we do offer the instruction to help along new drivers get used to the track enviroment. All of our instructors are involved in motorsports or vehicle engineering/dynamics professionally.
Lunch is catered in and included in the price along with corner workers for the day.
We run a great safe event that is very light on traffic. For the novice driver we can put you out on the track away from the main group and have the comfort of driving without traffic for about 3/4 of your session.
As an added safety feature this year we will also have in car communication between the corner workers and the drivers to keep everyone appraised of the track condition.
You will get at least 8 20 minute sessions but if previous years are an indication things thin out about 2pm-3pm and once we get down to a certain number of cars we run open track.
The price for the day is $165. Its a great and safe way to enjoy your car at speeds that you cannot achieve on the regular roads.
We've been major incident free since we started and our rules and enforcement of those rules we hope to keep it that way for everyones safety and enjoyment.
