The guy was driving so slow that he was a rolling road hazzard! That is why smarter run events keep the slow cars out of the fast fields.

Not to be over the top, but I have driven spec miatas at DE's, and have passed much higher hp cars such as the one in the video that wasn't driven anywhere near it's potential. For reference my spec miata's best lap is within 2 sec a lap of my Corvette at Roebling Road.
I agree with seperating cars by potential, but it is not that easy. Lap times are much more influenced by the capability of the driver and this is really not something most events have an easy way of determining. Number of events becomes a pretty poor indicator after 10-15 events in my opinion.

This statement could not be more off of the mark. I was in attendance at this event. Everyone who attended knows the story of said Viper driver and this incident was far from the camera cars fault. Period.
FWIW, I simply don't find this kind of video funny. Good shock value, yeah, but funny, no. After being tagged unexpectedly after a RACE I could not imagine that happening to someone at an HPDE.

I saw this a while ago. Pretty freaky. How did this happen btw? He seemed to come out of nowhere.
My heart would've been in my throat if that would've happened to me and I wouldn't have been able to speak.

Go big or don't go...
Ditto - what makes it good is no one got hurt nor did car's get slammed.
The miata driver's reaction time was a bit off...did you see how long it took him to swear? With me, I'm thinking .5s on the f-bomb....
Here is another close call, thanks to Youtube's attention deficit disorder link suggestion. YOu have to watch the third lane of stopping traffic, of course the light looks green to me...

That's what they mean by lift under braking going into a turn. I don't think he needed that much steering input to keep on the passenger side of the corvette.
Straight line braking at speed ==
Good video, glad he/she didn't damage the car or the wall
